Jonathan R. Dubin, MD

Jonathan Dubin, MD, is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic trauma surgeon at University Health who specializes in treating traumatic injuries and restoring function. His expertise spans the full spectrum of orthopaedic trauma, from simple fractures to complex, life-threatening injuries involving multiple broken bones. He also has specialized expertise in treating complications that affect bone healing, including nonunions and malunions.

Dr. Dubin is a professor at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine and is actively involved in research and medical education. His research interests include medical device safety and FDA regulation, resident education and health care delivery for underserved and marginalized populations. He chose to practice at University Health because of the opportunity to care for a diverse patient population with complex, life-changing injuries and the health system's commitment to providing comprehensive care from surgery through final follow-up.

A Kansas City native, Dr. Dubin enjoys golf, exercise, and spending time with his wife and three daughters. Together, they enjoy traveling and seeing musicals.
