About The Provider
Mary Duarte Thibault, MD is a board-certified, fellowship-trained Urogynecologist at University Health, specializing in the treatment of pelvic floor disorders such as urinary and bowel incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and pregnancy/postpartum pelvic floor issues.
Known for her compassionate and collaborative approach, Dr. Duarte takes time to listen, educate, and empower her patients. She offers both conservative and surgical treatment options, including minimally invasive techniques like VNOTES, laparoscopic, and robotic surgery. Dr. Duarte works closely with each patient to create a personalized care plan that aligns with their health goals.
She also plays an active role in medical education and is the associate director for the Urogynecology fellowship at the University of Missouri–Kansas City. Her research focuses on pelvic floor health during and after pregnancy and pelvic floor biomechanics using MRI imaging.
