Umair Ansari, MD

Umair Ahmad Ansari, MD, is a cardiologist at University Health. He earned his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from Ziauddin Medical University in Karachi, Pakistan, graduating with distinctions and in the top quartile of his class.

Dr. Ansari completed his internal medicine residency at Mather Hospital/Northwell Health, where he also served as academic chief resident. He subsequently completed advanced training in cardiology as a fellow at New York-Presbyterian Queens, where he served as Chief Cardiology Fellow.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Ansari has a strong interest in cardiovascular research. He has authored and co-authored numerous articles and abstracts published in peer-reviewed medical journals and has presented research at national cardiology conferences, including the American College of Cardiology and American Heart Association scientific meetings. His research interests include heart rhythm disorders, coronary artery disease, and cardiovascular outcomes. His clinical interests include preventative cardiology and advanced cardiovascular imaging.
